I'm currently training as a counsellor with Stonebridge College. In order to gain some experience in support work I volunteer as a support worker. This is a recent appointment. I work once a week as a co-facilitator in group work, supporting the attendees and the course leader.

My studies are currently online and I aim to qualify by 2026 at which point I hope to either work as a volunteer counsellor or practice part time.

Hang it Services Limited

Marketing Director
2019 - present

In 2019, a friend and I started Hang It Services Ltd. to provide art installation services to interior designers, galleries and domestic clients. Since its inception, we have grown the company to cover most of the southeast of England as well as south and mid-Wales.  We currently have a team of 8 installers and office staff.

As the company has grown, my involvement has gradually reduced leaving me available for new opportunities while still able to provide advisory services to the company on an ad-hoc basis.

Key responsibilities;

NEW FAMILY SOCIAL

Director/Trustee
2019 - present

In this voluntary trustee/directorial position I fulfil the role of 'trusted friend' providing general oversight of the charity. I attend regular board meetings and support the organisation however I can.

Additionally, I also run the charity's Google Ads campaigns and volunteer at our annual summer family camp.

Berkshire Aerial Services Limited

As one of two directors, I had the following responsibilities;

Bracknell & Wokingham College

Sessional Lecturer

After achieving my photography and training qualifications at the college, I was invited to teach several of the entry-level evening courses. The college was restructured in 2016 at which point most sessional lecturers were not invited to return.

I was responsible for the planning and delivery of entry-level photography courses in image capture and manipulation. As part of this I taught both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

DJShaw Photography/AYBECEDE

Self-employed photographer, web and graphic designer
2011-2020

I began working as an events and wedding photographer in 2011. I was fortunate to gain regular work for events for local hotels and developed some excellent working relationships with IHG hotels.

As time went on I increasingly began working in graphic and web design, focussing predominantly on branding for small to medium companies and start-ups. As my work changed it felt appropriate to rebrand my work and so I began working under the new name of AYBECEDE.

I gained a wealth of experience in social media marketing and built websites using WordPress for a number of local companies and charities.

I provided brand development and guidance and general graphic design services for marketing material.
